Manifolds

Manifolds Mec – Serv Ltd Mixing Manifolds
Mec-Serv self pumping manifolds are highly adaptable and are available with or without a mixing injector system.

Manifolds which utilize the injection system are primarily used where the water temperature supplied to the manifold exceeds the requirement within the underfloor heating system. The injection valve is set to a predetermined temperature (calculated in the design process). Once in operation the valve modulates to allow varying amounts heated water to blend with the cooler water returning to the from the underfloor heating loops there by  obtaining a stable predetermined operating temperature. Injection systems are sized dependant on individual manifold duties.

Manifolds without the injection system are modified during assembly to allow water to circulate directly from the heating system without blending with the cooler returning water. These types of manifolds are mainly used in conjunction with ground and air source heat pump systems where additional circulation is required.

Manifolds can be supplied with varying Pumps/Circulators dependant on flow rates, pressure losses and client requirements.

Manifolds Mec – Serv Ltd Non Mixing Manifolds -
Mec-Serv standard manifolds are generally used when a centralized mixing valve and circulating pump are utilized to serve multiple manifolds thereby negating the duplication of mixing equipment on each manifold. The mixing valve and circulating pump will be sized for the duty required.

Standard manifolds are also used in systems where the water temperature generated at source is correct for direct use within the underfloor heating system. When multiple manifolds are being served a centralized sized circulating pump can be utilized.
